Identification of chemical components from essential oils and aqueous extracts of some medicinal plants and their nematicidal effects on Meloidogyne incognita

Abstract Background Essential oils from aerial parts of Achillea wilhelmsii , Tanacetum polycephalum and Teucrium polium were isolated by using Clevenger-type apparatus tested at different concentrations for their nematicidal activity against the second stage juvenile (J2) Meloidogyne incognita in vitro condition. The chemical components essential seed extracts each plant (0.2 g) extracted with maceration methanol/acetic acid mixture (85:15, v/v). Analysis was done Gas Chromatography, GC-Mass Spectrometry) HPLC. Identified after this on J2 M . incognitain Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy to investigate properties organic molecules drawing spectrum Broker AVANCE AQS-300 MHz. Results Significant difference achieved based species oil concentrations. GC GC–MS led identification 41, 39 45 major compounds T A oils, respectively. number 10 ranges percentage recorded all plants oils. Use HPLC resulted 4, 3 2 commercial polyphenols concentration 1100 ppm showed 58.3, 48.9, 28.2 26.8 percentages mortalities catechin, coumarin, gallic chlorogenic, Nematotoxicity test terpenoids highest (more than 80%), 100 200 limonene, β-pinene α-pinene.
